Abstract:
With the rapid advancement of urbanization, the spatial renewal of traditional villages has lost the necessary 'order' and 'vitality'. Based on the theory of organic renewal, the research explored the restoration of the spatial order of the traditional village of Zhangguying Village in Zhangguying Town, Yueyang County, Yueyang City, Hunan Province. The results found that the disorder of Zhangguying Village's spatial order is manifested in three aspects:the damage to the macro-space pattern order, the alienation of the meso-architectural texture order, and the lagging of the micro-architectural function order. Based on the principles of overall interconnection, hierarchical protection, and minimally invasive renewal based on the organic renewal theory, the spatial order restoration of Zhangguying Village was explored from three aspects:village pattern restoration, building texture adjustment, and modern function implantation. The restoration of the village pattern emphasizes the organic combination of restoring the external ecological pattern and standardizing the behavior of internal subjects, the adjustment of building texture emphasizes the organic unity of inheritance protection and renewal transformation, and modern function implantation clarifies the replacement of backward functions and the expansion of modern functions the organic combination.
